Local Starter package
Tourists are increasingly using the internet to find information before visiting Orkney. The Internet saves visitors sending away for a large number of brochures and leaflets. Some visitors will even make their bookings and place orders before setting foot on Orkney soil – do you want to miss out on these potential customers?
A website gives your business a 24 hour/day, 7 day/week presence: you get the chance to display your products and services at their best to save on customer enquiries and to match (or get a step ahead of) the competition.
Once you have your online presence, it need not cost a great deal to keep it running. Once your site is designed by us, you will only have to pay a small annual fee (currently £50) for hosting and administration (a little extra if you want us to substantially modify the content).
You could be online with a simple one-page site for £100.
For £200 you can have a site of around five pages including, for example:
- Home page
- Photo page (could be the interior of your accommodation or a selection of your best products)
- Price list or room prices
- Links to recommend other websites to your potential clients
- Contact or feedback form
- Where to find us (including maps and directions)
From £500 upward, you could have more interactive contents such as:
- A Visitor's book
- Online availability diary
- An interactive Google Map – centred on your business with local tourist spots marked
- A news section that you can easily update yourself
You also get the following benefits from all the above packages:
- No huge annual fee!
- No minimum term of contract! At termination of contract the domain name will be transferred to you (sometimes a small fee of around £30 is charged by registering authorities) if it is not already in your name.
Business start up combination package
If you are starting a new business, you may need to have printed as well as online marketing material. We can offer a huge competitive advantage to you if you want both from us. Why pay twice for the same work? Much of the design effort we spend in creating a website can be used towards designing printed material – and the other way round. If you use two companies for print and web design – you pay twice for some of the work involved!
We offer full stationery pack including letterhead, business card and compliment slip from £200 – including arranging for a printer and liaising with them over the document formats they require (the cost of the printing itself is not included).
